Women Aid and Empowerment CIC is a Community Interest Company set up by and for women in West London in 2023. We have the following objectives:
- Promoting health, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles
- Educating BAME community members, including parents, women, and young people
- Equipping them with skills and knowledge to support themselves and improve their access to training and employment
- Promoting the spiritual, moral, social, cultural, and health and wellbeing development of children and young people
Our Activities
We offer low-intensity and high-intensity Zumba, Chair-Based Exercise, and Chair Yoga classes for women and men with social space and refreshments. All our classes are free of charge.
We are also planning to run coffee mornings, cooking classes for families, housing information sessions, and parenting classes.
Our classes improve women’s and men’s physical and mental health as well as helping them to socialise, make new friends, and reduce isolation and loneliness. We are also aiming to train some community members as Zumba instructors so they can run their own classes.
We offer both the standard Zumba programme and lower-intensity ‘Zumba Gold’.
For people with limited mobility or lower fitness, we also offer two separate activity programmes that you can do from the comfort of a wheelchair or regular chair: Chair-Based Exercise (CBE) and Chair Yoga.

Locations
We run sessions at four locations in West London: White City Community Centre, Matthew Hall Community Centre, Acton vale and Chiswick town hall. (all in Hammersmith & Fulham Ealing and Chiswick Town Hall).
Instructor
Our professional fitness instructor is fully trained and certified in both Zumba and Chair-Based Exercise and has 11 years’ experience of running classes for women of all ages and backgrounds.
Building community
Our sessions are open to people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds and create a family atmosphere where you can meet new people, make friends, and learn from one another.
